What we offer
Two-day workshops, half-day intensives, and a self-paced course. One shared framework.
Every format teaches the same underlying structure for framing a request. What changes is the pace, the group size, and how much of the session is spent on your team's own examples.
Program formats
Choose a format based on group size and timeline
Cohort Workshop
A scheduled session that mixes participants from different departments. Useful when several teams share a data function and want a common language for requests.
Team Intensive
A private session built around one team's own request history. Templates get shaped directly around the language and tools that team already uses.
Self-Paced Companion
A set of shorter modules for individuals who want to work through the framework on their own schedule, with written exercises reviewed asynchronously.
Manager Refresher
A short follow-up session for teams that completed a workshop previously and want to revisit the template after a few months of real use.
Curriculum breakdown
Five modules, each solving one recurring problem
How to turn a vague business question into something specific enough for an analyst to actually scope, without narrowing it so much that the answer becomes useless.
A one-page structure covering context, constraints, timeline, and the decision the analysis supports, so nothing critical arrives as an afterthought two days later.
How to interpret results without over-reading a small sample or under-reading a signal that's actually clear, and how to ask a useful follow-up question.
How to ask for more time, more precision, or a re-scoped request without becoming the requester nobody wants to prioritize.
Templates and lightweight checkpoints a team can keep using once the sessions are over, plus how to adapt the format as request types change.
What's included
Materials that stay with your team afterward
Brief template kit
The one-page format used throughout the program, provided as an editable document your team can adapt.
Live practice sessions
Structured time working through real or representative requests with direct feedback from a facilitator.
Feedback on real requests
Optional review of a small number of actual briefs your team has sent recently, discussed anonymously in session.
Recorded session access
Access to a recording of the live session for a defined period, for anyone who couldn't attend the scheduled time.
Reference guide
A short written guide summarizing the framework, meant to sit next to a laptop rather than gather dust on a shelf.
Facilitation options
In person, virtual, or on your own schedule
Cohort workshops and team intensives can run in person in the Chicago area or virtually over video. The self-paced companion course is entirely online and works for individuals located anywhere.
